Our camp is a collective, and everyone plays their part in providing interaction in a number of ways, throughout all times of the day. Every camp member receives a personal orientation when they arrive so they, in turn, can welcome each curious passersby throughout the week, invite folks to come dance and laugh with us, and gregariously engage with others in the spirit of radical inclusion. Specific activities include:
Welcome Home Party
Monday | 8 pm to Sunrise
Jointly thrown with Beecharge/RHB.
For this music/dance event, we will have a posted DJ lineup, performers, costume themes, etc. Exceptional hosts will also ensure dancers stay hydrated.
Ship Wrecked Party
Wednesday | 2 to 8 pm
Jointly thrown with Sqeebees. For this music/dance event, we will have a posted DJ lineup, performers, costume themes, etc. Exceptional hosts will also ensure dancers stay hydrated.
Black Rock City Dusty Derby (takes place during party)
Wednesday | 5 to 6 pm
Returning for the first time since its triumphant debut in 2015, the Dusty Derby is an open-entry madcap bicycle race around the block, with fabulous prizes.
Slack Jaw Dance Off!
Thursday | 3 to 5 pm
2 contestants have a dance-off to disco-pop. The rules are simple: dance with your expression blank and your mouth slack, while locking eyes with your opponent! The first person to laugh loses.
Bizarre Bazaar
Friday | 9 pm to Midnight
For this event, we will transform our public lounge into a bazaar. This includes all sorts of interactive goodies, including tarot reading, meditation, massages, and more.
